The discovery of oil in the Ekofisk field in 1969 was the start of the Norwegian adventure in oil. Production started on 15 June 1971, and over the following years the industry developed and many new finds were made.

New method could save the industry billions every year. Since 2016 the inventor and CEO of Hydrophilic, Trond Rolfsvåg, and his team from among others Aarbakke Innovations and NORCE, have turned a simple idea into an advanced tool.

Today we can happily inform that Hydrophilic AS have established a subsidiary. The name of the new company is Hydrotell AS. The main focus of the company will be on the development of tools and services for hydrocarbon producing fields. Solveig Riisøen has been selected as the CEO of Hydrotell AS.

The Hydrophilic Logging Tool demonstration project supported by the Research Council of Norway and five fine operators in the North Sea has started!

Today Solveig Riisøen starts her career with Hydrophilic. Solveig has been selected to become a part of the initial team that will lead the company into the future.
